• IRSHA is one of the premier dedicated research institutes in Pune, established in 2001 as a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University. This is the first institute on the BVU campus which is totally dedicated to research on human health and nutrition with a special attention on Mother and Child Health and adult disorders.

  The most important feature of IRSHA being active interaction with a large number of clinicians in constituent units on and off campus from the specialties of Medical, Ayurved, Dental and Homeopathy thereby creating vibrant as well as multidimensional research culture with proven scientific excellence and social relevance.

  IRSHA preliminarily serves as a think tank for the University and provides a platform to carry out innovative research programs involving Ph. D. and Post Doctoral fellows. A large number of M.D./M. Pharm./M.Sc. students pursue their research training at IRSHA and get opportunities to be exposed to the advanced research avenues in life science.

  In last 5 years, IRSHA has achieved an excellent success and recognition in research which is evident through a number of research publications in peer reviewed high impact International journals, grants support from premium national and international funding agencies such as DBT, ICMR and CSIR and development of interactive extensive linkages with national and international level institutes.
